A number of senior Tunisian officials made remarks to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) during which they have appreciated and commended the current state visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Tunisia. They included the Tunisian Foreign Affairs Khemaies Jhinaoui; Tunisian Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation Ziad Al-Athari; Tunisian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Slim Khalbous; Tunisian Minister of Cultural Affairs Mohamed Zine el-Abidine; Tunisian Minister of Religious Affairs Dr. Ahmed Azoum and His Eminence the Grand Mufti of Tunisia Sheikh Osman Battikh. They highlighted the high level of relations between the two countries in the political, economic and cultural fields. Tunisian Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation cited that Saudi investments in Tunisia amounted to $190 million creating nearly 6215 jobs. Meanwhile, the Saudi Development Fund finances developmental projects worth more than $500 million in Tunisia. The SDF also approved a loan worth $129 million to Tunis to finance a power plant project.
