A number of speakers of the legislative councils (the Shura Councils, Councils of Representatives, the Federal National Councils, and the National Assemblies) of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) arrived here today to take part in 12th meeting of the GCC heads of legislative councils. They are Speaker of the Bahraini Representatives Council Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal; Speaker of Majlis A'Shura of Oman Khalid Hilal Nasser Al-Maawali; Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim and Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Dr. Amal Al Qubaisi. At King Abdulaziz International Airport, they were separately received by Mohammed bin Dhakel Al-Mutairi, Secretary general of the Shura Council, and a number of members and officials. Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheilh will chair the meeting tomorrow. The meeting aims to discuss a number of issues pertaining to consolidate the GCC parliamentary march.
