Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh said in its editorial that the terrorist act happened in New Zealand has fully confirmed that terrorism is not linked to religion or race, but it is a result of accumulated extremist thought that is translated by violence without mercy or pity. The paper also said that the terrorist has abandoned his humanity and human values for extremist thoughts. The paper added that what happened in New Zealand confirms to the world, especially the Western, that Islam is not a religion of terrorism, but a religion of peace and tolerance, and that those who try to link terrorism to Islam, are not less extreme than those who carried out the terrorist act in New Zealand and seen as instigators anyway.
