Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of topics and issues at local, regional and international arenas. Okaz and Al-Youm newspapers commented on terrorism, saying the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's approach to counter-terrorism became a beacon that should be followed as an example and that approach is the definitive evidence on renouncing extremism in thought and action. The papers quoted the spokesman of the British government as saying on Friday that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plays an important role in the fight against ISIS terrorist organization, has suffered so much from this organization, contributed to international efforts in confronting the threat posed by this organization, participated in the Coalition strikes against it, and has been at the heart of international efforts to stop the financing of terrorism, in addition to its ongoing efforts that this terrorist organization does not represent the principles of the Islamic religion in any form. The papers noted that the Kingdom has always called on the international community to take a firm stand to maintain the Arab position and confront all terrorist organizations, as it has been keen on the stability of the Arab world and protecting it from delusions and deviant thoughts including the so-called organization ISIS and fighting this extremist organization and its terrorist activities in the region. --More
