Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia affirmed in its speech before the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva, its categorical rejection of any intervention or calls to internationalize the cases under its jurisdiction, based on the immunity and independence of the Saudi judiciary and the harmonization of the mechanisms of litigation in the KSA with international standards as well as to the fact that internationalization represents a clear conflict with the rules of international law and norms , proving its positive use of international recommendations issued on case of the citizen Jamal Khashoggi that respected the Saudi judiciary and its jurisdiction exclusively in considering the case. The paper added that the KSA affirmed its efforts to protect and promote human rights under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, in accordance with a balanced approach between achieving the best regulations and practices in the field of human rights and preserving the values of Saudi society, denying the existence of secret detention centers in the Kingdom as this high transparency reflects the immunity of the Kingdom and its high confidence in the sound of its human rights record. On the same context, Okaz newspaper said in its editorial today that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed in its speech delivered before UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) by President of the Saudi Human Rights Commission Dr. Bandar Al-Aiban that the procedures of the trial of those accused of killing of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi are based on constitutional principles and legal foundations to ensure validity in step ending some false reports being made by external parties with negative agendas and malicious attempts seeking to internationalize this issue in order to serve their agendas.
