Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of Arab Council for Childhood and Development (ACCD) said that the Council has paid great attention to the issues of child labor since the early 1990s, pointing out to the role being played by the ACCD in monitoring and preventing the phenomenon of child labor in Arab countries. This came in a speech he delivered during the launch of the study on "Child Labor in the Arab States" held at the Arab League in Cairo in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO), the Arab Labor Organization, ACCD, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Prince Abdulaziz pointed out that the ACCD prepared studies and training manuals and implemented developmental projects that would realize the rights of the Arab child, preserve his dignity and stop exploiting him economically, in addition to partnering with the Arab League and the Arab Labor Organization to prepare the Arab strategy for reducing child labor in 2011.
