U.S. stocks closed at the lowest levels of the year on Friday after weaker-than-expected data from the July jobs report prompted investor skepticism about the strength of the U.S. economic recovery. The Dow Jones industrial average ended down 147.63 points, or 1.48 percent, at 9,815.40, based on the latest data. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index closed down 16.75 points, or 1.55 percent, at 1,063.95 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq ended down 44.74 points, or 2.46 percent, at 1,776.89. For the week, stocks declined. The blue-chip Dow average fell 3 percent during the week, while the Nasdaq sank 6 percent. The broad S&P 500 dropped 3 percent on the week.
