Four spectators in a famed rally in central Finland were injured Friday when the Mitsubishi driven by Ari Laivola went off the road, a race spokesman said. The accident happened during the second stage of the 10-stage Neste Rally Finland race in Jyvaskyla, 280 kilometers (174 miles) north of the capital, Helsinki. At a curve, Laivola's car slipped off the road striking the four fans, said race spokesman Esa Illoinen. One was taken to a hospital for minor injuries and the other three were treated at a medical tent on the race site. None of the injuries were life threatening. Illoinen said Laivola wasn't injured and was expected to resume racing later Friday.
