A driver competing in an Australian state rally championship race has been killed after his car smashed into a tree and ran down an embankment, according to AP. South Australian state police said Friday the car's navigator was seriously injured in the accident outside Adelaide. Local media quoted a spectator as saying the car slid out of control on a bend in a road. Michael Ceruto said the car "clipped a tree and flew into the air and rolled three times down the hill. The co-driver was taken out to the ambulance, but the driver didn't come out."
