Saudi Ambassador to Yemen and the Supervisor of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has supported the Yemeni economy and the Central Bank of Yemen with an amount of $ 2.2 billion, in addition to the previous deposit of $ 1 billion. In a statement following the announcement of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's donation of $ 500 million to fund the United Nations Humanitarian Response Plan for Yemen in 2019, Ambassador Al Jaber stated that the Kingdom was and remains the largest supporter of Yemen and the United Nations humanitarian response plan announced in 2018 by providing billion dollars paid equally between it and the United Arab Emirates along with 250 million from state of Kuwait.
