Coinciding with Current State Visit of HRH Crown Prince to China, Starting Plan to Include Chinese Language, in Curricula of Educational Stages, in KSA, Agreed
In order to strengthen friendship and cooperation relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the People's Republic of China and to deepen the strategic partnership, at all levels, a starting plan to include Chinese language, in curricula of all educational stages, in the Saudi schools and universities was agreed, during the current state visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the Chairman of the Saudi side of the Saudi-Chinese High Level Committee. This step falls within the belief of the importance of strengthening cooperation and communication, in all fields and enabling a comprehensive strategic partnership, to achieve the aspirations of the Saudi and Chinese leaderships and to seize the promising opportunities between their peoples. Inclusion of the Chinese language will enhance the cultural diversity before students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and contribute to the achievement of the future national goals, in the field of education, in accordance with the Kingdom Vision 2030. Chinese language inclusion in the Saudi curricula is an important step towards opening new academic horizons for the students, in the various educational stages, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as learning Chinese language is considered a bridge between the peoples of the two countries, that will contribute to promote trade and cultural ties.
