Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host 4th Global Ministerial Patient Safety Summit in Jeddah on March 2-3, 2019. Under the theme "Universal Health Coverage and Patient Safety" and in participation of more than 50 states, the event will define strategies that will support the integration of patient safety as an essential element in achieving universal health coverage. This is will be met by raising awareness and fostering contextual applicability, particularly in resource limited settings and therefore it is anticipated a more robust participation from low and middle-income countries (LMIC).
