His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense, met with Mauritania's President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz at the presidential palace in Nouakchott today. HRH the Crown Prince and the President held a bilateral meeting during which President Mohamed welcomed HRH the Crown Prince in his second country. HRH the Crown Prince expressed his pleasure to visit Mauritania. HRH the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Mauritanian President. For his part, the President sent his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Then, an extended session was held in the presence of members of the delegations of the two countries. The session addressed aspects of bilateral relations as well as opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation. The session also addressed the developments in the region. Following the session and in the presence of HRH the Crown Prince and the President, Minister of Media Dr. Awad Al-Awad announced that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has issued a directive to establish King Salman Hospital in Nouakchott with a capacity of 300 beds. Dr. Al-Awad said that the hospital includes emergency department, outpatient clinic, surgery department, oncology center, cardiology center, dialysis center, obstetrics and gynecology department, pediatric department, endoscopy department, laboratory, intensive care unit, diagnostic radiology department, central pharmacy, central sterilization and inpatient rooms. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also issued a directive to renovate King Faisal Mosque. HRH the Crown Prince and the President attended the signing ceremony of three agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries, namely double taxation avoidance agreement, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of water and sanitation, and a memorandum of understanding in the field of wildlife.
