Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh, Al-Yaum and Okaz newspapers said in their editorials that the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud comes every year in the opening session of Shura Council to outline the future directions of the government and to assess achievements, in addition to cast the light on the Kingdom's foreign policy. The newspapers added that the royal speech stressed that the Kingdom is pursuing its foreign policy in accordance with its established principles committed to international charters, and continues to defend Arab and Islamic issues and combat extremism and terrorism. The newspapers noted that the King's speech emphasized that the priority of the next phase is to continue supporting the Saudi private sector and empower it as an active partner in development. They added that citizens and their prosperity remain at the top of the priorities of development plans.
