Asian stock prices were mixed Monday, AP reported. The Shanghai Composite Index lost 1.9 percent to 2,549.69 while Tokyo's Nikkei 225 slipped 0.2 percent to 21,149.80. Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 0.2 percent to 24,656.55 and Sydney's S&P-ASX 200 advanced 1.1 percent to 5,728.20. Seoul's Kospi was off 1.2 percent at 2,003.08. India's Sensex gained 0.6 percent to 33,543.20. Benchmarks in New Zealand, and Singapore advanced. Benchmark U.S. crude dropped 25 cents to $67.34 per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract rose 26 cents on Friday to close at $67.59. Brent crude, used to price international oils, lost 33 cents to $77.29 per barrel in London. It gained 73 cents the previous session to $77.62. The dollar rose to 111.95 yen from Friday's 111.89 yen. The euro declined to $1.1394 from $1.1403.
