Royal Directives, Decisions Ordered by Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Proceeding from Aiming to Realize Justice, Equality, in accordance with Shariah-Senior Ulemas' Body says

Directives and decision made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, that took place, following the unfortunate incident that claimed the life of Jamal Khashoggi, may God have mercy upon him, proceed from the foundation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, cherishing achievement of justice and equality, in accordance with Shariah, the Islamic law, setting forth to hold accountable, anyone who transgresses or belittles whoever he might be, and whatsoever the circumstances and regardless of any considerations, The General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars (Ulemas) explained.
The General Secretariat reaffirmed that the leadership's keenness to achieve justice and bringing to accountability those involved, as evidenced by its long history and as witnessed by its courts' records, that the judges are independent and that they are under no check upon them, from any power, in accordance with the stipulations of Shairah and the applicable laws.
"We, in Saudi Arabia, firmly, stand behind our leadership, in the supporting the latest decisions taken and adhering, first and foremost, to God the Almighty and then, reckoning and clinging to our national unity" the Ulemas' highest body statement concluded.
