Saudi rally driver Ahmad Al-Shaghawi has won the World Rally Championship in the T2 category early , after he had got the first place in the five-day Desert Rally of Morocco with a total distance of 1,362 km. Al-Shaghawi won the world championship after reaching 226 points, making him the world champion ahead of the final round to be held in Portugal from October 25 to 27. Al-Shaghawi, who participated and supported by the General Authority for Sport and Saudi Arabian Motor Federation has won the first place in 4 out of 10 rounds so far, while he got the second place in Hungary and Poland and third in Italy round. For his part, Al-Shaghawi expressed his happiness with this great progress , considering it as a part of the homeland's sport achievements, appreciating the great support being provided for him by the leadership, the General Authority for Sport and the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation.
