Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir participated today in the High Level Meeting on Syria, which was held on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly. During the Meeting, they discussed the situations in Syria, especially Idlib, in addition to ways of establishing a safe zone to deliver humanitarian aid for affected areas. In another context, the Foreign Minister received today in New York the UN Secretary General's Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths, in the presence of Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America. During the meeting, they reviewed situations in Yemen and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's support for the UN's efforts in Yemen. The Foreign Minister also received today in New York the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell Fontelles, Kyrgyzstani Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Abdyldayev, and Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs Mehmood Qureshi, on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly. During the meetings, they reviewed bilateral relations between KSA and the three countries, issues of mutual interest, and latest regional and international developments. The meetings were attended by Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mouallimi and Undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral International Affairs Ambassador Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi. The Foreign Minister also participated in the seminar held by The Council on Foreign Relations in New York, in the presence of a number of American politicians and intellectuals.
