The Speakers of Australian House of Representatives Tony Smith and the Senate Senator Scott Ryan received yesterday at the Headquarters of Australian Parliament in Canberra, the delegation of Saudi-Australian Friendship Committee of Saudi Shura Council headed by the Council Member Khalid Al-Abdullatif, currently visiting Australia at the invitation of the Australian Parliament. The speakers held a luncheon in honor of the delegation in the presence of Saudi Ambassador in Australia, Mus'aed Ibrahim Al-Saleem, a number of Australian officials and members of the Australian side in the Saudi-Australian Parliamentary Friendship Committee. During the ceremony, they delivered speeches on bilateral relations between the two sides. On the other hand, the Saudi Shura Council delegation has met with Australian Minister of Trade and Tourism Simon Birmingham and held a meeting with the members of the Foreign Affairs and Trade Committee of the Australian Parliament headed by Senator Ian MacDonald in the presence of Ambassador Mus'aed Ibrahim Al-Saleem and members of the delegation, whereas they discussed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Australia and means of strengthening them in all fields.
