The Yemeni army has recaptured new zones from the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Mawiya directorate, south eastern Taiz governorate, in central Yemen. A military source confirmed to the state-run Yemeni news agency that units of the Yemeni army launched a staunch attack against sites controlled by the Houthi militias southern Mawiya directorate and liberated Al-Mahana and Al-Kharaba zones, noting that the battles resulted in the killing and injuring of many militia elements while the remaining managed to fly away.
