In yet a new field advance, the Yemeni army has recaptured the strategic Bawana mount which overlooks Khabb valley in Al-Joaf province, it was reported here today. An official Yemeni military source said that the Yemeni army, led by Major General Amin Al-Okaimi, governor of Al-Joaf governorate, has recaptured the heights overlooking strategic valley of Khabb after fierce battles with the Iran-backed Houthi militias. In a statement released by the Yemeni news agency, the source said that following the recapture of the mountain, the army advanced more than one kilometer deep into the valley. On the other hand, the Yemeni army was subject to a fierce offensive in Mazwiya zone, Al-Mitoon directorate, west of the governorate, where a number of Houthi militia members were killed or injured. Al-Mitoon was once announced a military barracks by the Houthis forcing the Command of the 6th military zone to ask residents of Al-Mitoon to evacuate it since yesterday.
