Leon Goretzka opened his account for Bayern Munich and further goals from Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Mueller downed VfB Stuttgart 3-0 on Saturday to take the reigning champions top of the Bundesliga. Making his first Bayern start since his summer move from Schalke, Goretzka broke the deadlock in Stuttgart from the edge of the box. The win keeps Bayern perfect on six points from two games with Lewandowski and Mueller's strikes taking them clear of Wolfsburg on goal difference. Earlier Bruno Labbadia's side came from behind to defeat Bayer Leverkusen 3-1. A second half double from Adam Szalai and an empty netter from Andrej Kramaric gave Hoffenheim a 3-1 win over Freiburg and 10-man Eintracht Frankfurt lost 2-1 at home to Werder Bremen. Augsburg drew 1-1 with Borussia Moenchengladbach and Nuremberg drew 1-1 with Mainz. Borussia Dortmund drew 0-0 at Hanover on Friday while on Sunday RB Leipzig host Fortuna Dusseldorf and Schalke meet Hertha Berlin.
