No cases of epidemics or quarantine diseases were reported, so far, among pilgrims performing the Hajj of this season, and the health situation is reassuring, the Ministry of Health announced here today. The ministry focuses on the preventive aspects of pilgrims and follows developments and changes in the global health situation, in cooperation with the World Health Organization standards and guidance, in addition to reports of other international health bodies such as the International Disease Control Centers, and has taken several precautionary measures, for the current Hajj season, according to global epidemiological variables and circulated it to all the countries, at the Kingdom's embassies and missions abroad, granting Umrah and Hajj visas, in addition to activating observer centers for health facilities, at the entry points for pilgrims. Saudi health sectors is providing pilgrims with preventive services, at health outlets since 1/11/1439, where up to 1212663 pilgrims have taken advantage of such services, while commitment of pilgrims to preventive vaccines to date has recorded great rates, notably for Meningitis, Yellow Fever and Polio.
