The Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Awaisheq, received here today the Ambassador of Argentina to the Kingdom of Saudi Aarbia, Jaime Sergio Cerda. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations, issues of common interest in addition to the means of enhancing cooperation between the two sides in the political, economic and investment fields within the framework of agreement for economic cooperation between the GCC and MERCOSUR, of which Argentina is one of its members, signed in 2005 in the Brazilian capital Brasilia. Mercosur is made up of four member countries including Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil, as well as it has special relations with other South American countries. It is worth mentioning that Argentina is currently chairing the Group of 20 (G-20) summit to be held in Buenos Aires in November 2018.
