Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has telephoned President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine. During the call, the king expressed the kingdom's condemnation of the brutal aggression against the unarmed Palestinian people by the Israeli occupation forces, which caused the deaths of martyrs and wounded innocent people. The king called on Almighty God to bestow mercy on them and help their families to be patient and give speedy recovery to the injured. The king reiterated to the president the kingdom's steadfastness towards the Palestinian cause and its support for the Palestinian brothers to restore their legitimate rights in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab peace initiative. The king also stressed the importance of exerting efforts to stop violence against the Palestinian brothers and the kingdom's call for an emergency meeting of foreign ministers of Arab League member states to unite efforts and take urgent measures to protect the brotherly Palestinian people. For his part, the Palestinian president thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his noble feelings and expressed his appreciation for the continued support for the Palestinian people by the government and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
