Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Deputy President of the General Commission for Sports confirmed that his organization has facilitated the investment measures in sports sector in view of the Kingdom's vision 2030 and transformation program 2020, noting that it would proceed with achieving the objectives of the vision, led by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of defense. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency on the sidelines of Makkah Economic Forum, he declared that the sports authority has contributed to a 23 percent increase this year, 3 percent above projection, in the rate of sports athletes until 2020 as part of its objective of promoting quality of life program.
