The Standing Committee for Arab Information started here today its 91st session chaired by the Chairman of the Committee and the General Supervisor of External Information at the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Khalid bin Abdul Qader Al-Ghamdi to discuss the draft agenda of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers at its 9th session to be held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the Kingdom. The meeting discusses the draft agenda including items on the Palestinian issue, media honor charter, updating of the current Arab media strategy, and formulating a new vision in line with developments in the Arab region and the world, notably the international media plan to counter the unilateral American decision to recognize Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as the capital of Israel in implementation of the resolutions of the recent Arab summit in the city of Dhahran in the Kingdom, "Al-Quds Summit." The agenda also includes the role of the Arab media in tackling the phenomenon of terrorism, Arab Committee for Electronic Media, as well as following up Arab Media Action Plan abroad, the Arab Media Day and the Arab Media Excellence Award.
