Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, Minister of Culture and Information, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Commission for Culture, said in a press statement following the launch today of the Quality of Life program 2020 that the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoy a great interest and care by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, and Minister of Defense, and feel their strong keenness to upgrade the level of the quality of life for individuals as well as the society, through providing the appropriate environment and all possible means to launch the quality of life program 2020. The Minister of Culture and Information explained that the quality of life program 2020 offers an ideal environment that conduce to ameliorating the pattern of life of individuals and the public through exploiting all tools and capabilities and unifying the efforts that would contribute to uplifting the level of life and living welfare for citizens and expatriates alike. He said the General Commission for Culture is presenting a number of initiatives through this program aiming to promote the performance of the society in culture and arts, the movement of intellection and innovation, exploiting all potentials and experience embodied in the Kingdom and aim to enhance the cultural and arts dimensions, deepening them through contributing to pushing forward the level of quality of life of an individual and intermingling the social segments in general to achieve the noble objectives complying with the Kingdom vision 2030. Dr. Al-Awwad said the General Commission for Audiovisual Media is contributing to a number of initiatives in the quality of life program 2020, including reinstating cinema houses which provide new entertainment options for individuals and organizing the operation of cinemas through passing the relevant regulations for cinema houses in the Kingdom.
