Under the patronage of the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad and in the attendance of Egypt's Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdul Dayem, the first musical party of the Egyptian Opera was held tonight at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh. Upon arrival at the venue, Dr. Al-Awwad toured the Most Unique Photos exhibition on the Opera history, a folkloric show presented by the Egyptian community in Riyadh, the Oriental Takht band and the Egyptian folkloric band, all held on the fringes of the main event. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Al-Awwad welcomed the Egyptian guests in their second country the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, casting light on the arts and cultural aspects of the Saudi current renaissance under the patronage and support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince to promote the culture and arts sector and highlight the bright chapters of the people's cultural heritage. Making its debut in Riyadh, the Egyptian Opera presented a spectacular performance to the applaud of the elite attendees. The Opera is scheduled to offer its viewers anther night on Thursday at the same venue.
