The political affairs and parliamentary relations committee at the Arab Parliament Federation condemned Iran-backed Houthi militias launching of ballistic missiles on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, expressing support for the necessary measures taken by Riyadh to protect its territories and people. In a report read by Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Qasabi, member of the parliament, underscored the importance of activating parliamentary diplomatic positive role in what achieves the Arab interests security-wise and enhance it development-wise. The parliament also reiterated its support for the legitimate government of Abdrabbou Mansour Hadi of Yemen according to the UN Security Council resolutions, the GCC initiative and outcome of national dialogue. The report denounced the support rendered by Iranian regime for the Houthi militias who manage to launch ballistic missiles towards Saudi Arabia in a flagrant violation of the UN resolutions, calling on the world community to shoulder its role in protecting the maritime navigation routes, particularly in the maritime zones parallel to Yemen. The committee lauded the International Parliament Union's decision to enroll the Yemeni legitimate government delegation as the sole representative of Yemen in the federation.
