Sheikh Dr. Abdulah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has depicted the ballistic missile attacks aimed at the Saudi cities as a dangerous development of the Iran-backed Houthi militias in rejecting peace and international community's will. During a speech before the 138th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, which took place yesterday, Al Al-Sheikh reiterated the condemnation of the ballistic missile attacks on a number of regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which resulted in killing a civil resident and injuring two people, lauding the great capability and pinpoint efficiency of the Saudi Air Forces defenses. He stressed that the recent attacks launched by the Houthi militias proved again that the Iranian regime is involved in supporting the Houthi terrorist militias in Yemen, adding that this Iranian support threatens the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as the regional and international security. He disclosed that UN relevant reports confirmed that the source of the ballistic missiles is Iran, stressing that this act is a flagrant challenge and blatant violation of the UN resolutions No. 2216 and 2231. --More 18:18 LOCAL TIME 15:18 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/1745455
