The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the hostage-taking in southern France yesterday, which resulted in a number of casualties. Secretary-General of the Organization Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen considered the detention process as a criminal act, declaring his solidarity with the French Government, affirming the organization's firm and rejectionist attitude to all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism regardless of its motives and justifications. He offered his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the French Government and people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
