Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm newspaper in its editorial on the atomic energy wrote that the Cabinet under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud approved the national policy of Atomic Energy Program in the Kingdom, which confirms the commitment to implement all other developmental activities for peaceful purposes to serve all future economic trends. The paper noted that this commitment will serve the future vision of the Kingdom in various fields of development activities to transform the economic face of the Kingdom into a new one represented in the localization of industry and technology and searching for new channels of income which have nothing to do with oil. Okaz newspaper wrote about the empowerment of women in rural areas, saying that Saudi women have recently overcome several barriers in many areas demonstrating their ability to innovation and distinction and this has given them more confidence in national projects by gaining opportunities to participate effectively and create a prosperous future for the homeland under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at all levels. The paper pointed to the speech of Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Dr. Tamadher Al-Rammah at United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York yesterday in which she confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's experiences in empowering women in rural areas are pioneering and that the Kingdom's vision 2030 has placed the development of women's talents and the investment of their capabilities within its priorities aiming to empower Saudi women to obtain appropriate opportunities to contribute to the development of the society and the economy, especially in rural areas.
