The Yemeni Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations and the World Union of Yemeni Communities organized a protest in front of the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, where the 37th Session of the Human Rights Council is held. A statement issued by the Yemeni Alliance's Protest said that the three and a half years since the war began in Yemen after the Houthi militias took control of the capital Sana'a, the Yemeni people are exhausted by the war which destroyed their economic and social infrastructure and created obstacles before the Public freedoms that Yemeni people were strongly seeking to achieve it for seven decades. The statement called on the UN Secretary-General's envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths to keep in mind the tragic humanitarian situation would be the key factor for sustainable peace process through ensuring that the tragedy would not be repeated.
