Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir affirmed the keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to combat extremism and terrorism and to support the Sahel five African countries. He said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the conclusion of the International Conference to support the Sahel countries in Brussels, that Saudi Arabia has provided support of € 100 million to support the joint force to combat terrorism in the Sahel African countries and humanitarian support for refugees through King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid. It also provided development support through the Saudi Fund for Development to these countries, stressing the Kingdom's readiness to provide logistical, intelligence and air support through the Islamic military alliance to combat terrorism. Al-Jubeir said: "We are very pleased that the International Conference on Sahel African support has been able to raise the proportion of support to the joint force to reach the required figures. He affirmed that the joint Arab message is that the Arab countries are at the forefront of the countries that provided support to the Sahel countries, pointing out that the Kingdom has provided more than € 100 million and the UAE has provided € 30 million for this force and the Kingdom of Morocco has provided support to these countries, pointing out that the Arab countries are very keen to have a role in countering extremism and terrorism in the Sahel countries.
