At least 10 people were killed on Thursday when a residential building in a Cairo slum area collapsed. The bodies of the 10 victims were pulled out of the rubble of the five-storey building in the district of Manshyet Nasser, dpa quoted an official in the Cairo civil defense service as saying. Rescue teams have intensified their efforts to save other residents who might have been trapped in the wreckage. Twelve people, injured in the collapse, have been taken to a nearby hospital. The cause of the collapse was not clear yet.
