Yemeni Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr met today with US Charge d'Affaires to Yemen Karen Sasahara. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of joint cooperation between Yemen and the United States of America, and the importance of achieving security, stability and reconstruction of liberated areas, government-run Yemeni News Agency reported. "The danger of the conflict in Yemen lies in Iran's interference through its incendiary rhetoric, planning and equipping the Houthi militias with weapons, military experts and ballistic missiles threatening the region", the Yemeni Prime Minister said, pointing out that Iran has military, economic and geographic ambitions, which requires the international community concerted work to stop these ambitions, and basically to address the situation in Yemen. For her part, the US Charge d'Affaires stressed the keenness of her country to support Yemen, affirming her country's support for the construction process in Yemen and the readiness of the United States of America to provide logistic support and financial expertise to train national cadres to promote the central bank operations in the interim capital of Aden.
