CITC Announces Results of 2nd Spectrum Auction

The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) announced the completion of its latest Spectrum Auction covering the frequency bands (700, 800 and 1800) MHz.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the CITC disclosed that the auction was held on Sunday, February 11th, 2018 with the objective of providing additional spectrum to enhance the quality of mobile communication services and boost Internet speeds in the Kingdom.
All three companies licensed to provide mobile telecommunication services in the Kingdom (STC, Mobily and Zain) will be able to acquire new spectrum usage licenses with a total bandwidth of 80 MHz within the frequency bands (700, 800, 1800) MHz.
