Chechnya's Grand Mufti and Head of the Religious Administration of Chechen Muslims Sheikh Salah Megiev has hailed the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve Islam and Muslims, particularly its efforts in countering terrorism and extremism. In a statement during his visit to the Kingdom as part of the guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Umrah, Sheikh Salah said that the relationship between the Kingdom and Chechnya is close and great, praising the visit paid by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Russia during which several agreements were signed to strengthen these relations.
