The preparatory meeting of the News Agencies World Council (NACO) was held here today, in presence of the heads and secretaries general of the regional news federation and organizations, including the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA), Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA), as well as representatives of International agencies (Reuters) and (Press Association). During the meeting held at the headquarters of the British Press Association in London, the meeting dealt with proposed amendments to the NACO internal policy in order to be in line with organizing next international conferences of the news agencies, especially the Sixth International Conference, which will be held mid-next year in the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. It is worth mentioning that Saudi Press Agency (SPA) organized the 4th NACO International Conference in Riyadh in 2013.
