Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper in its editorial entitled ''The Islamic world stand'' said that the Islamic emergency meeting of foreign ministers on the firing of a missile by Al-Houthi militias towards Riyadh at the request of the Kingdom comes to stop Iranian missiles against the Kingdom; noting that this action cannot be tolerated under any pretext and it must be dealt seriously by the Islamic world whose Qiblah has been targeted by the Houthi gang directed by Iran. The paper called on the Muslim world to shoulder its responsibilities against Al-Houthi gang and its Iranian supporters, adding that Iran as a Muslim country should respect Islamic rights and duties, but to the contrary, it is a thorn in the side of the Islamic nation for the purpose of false slogans and objectives aiming at destroying and not building, noting that we await a serious stand from the Islamic world towards Iranian practices. On another matter, Al-Youm newspaper in its editorial entitled ''The importance of UN intervention in Syria'' wrote that this has become necessary in light of what is happening at the Syrian arena witnessing many interventions in Syrian affairs, indicating that the crisis will continue to exist among all conflicting parties as they are unable to put an end to the war and their failure to achieve any victory on the ground whether by the regime, the opposition or those supporting them.
