Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom Li Hua-shin hailed strength of the Saudi economy and the solid pillars upon which the Kingdom is based, in general. Ambassador Li said, during a press conference held here today on the occasion of establishing the Belt Road Forum for International Cooperation set to take place in Beijing on 14-15 May 2017, that his country is working on implementing the Belt Road to cope with the Initiative 2020, which suits the two sides ideal partners, in building up the road, where the Kingdom can become an important link between China and African markets. He pointed out that the Belt Road forum for international cooperation will be attended by as many as 1200 officials, scientists, businessmen, representatives of financial institutions and media organizations, from 110 countries, as well as representatives of more than 60 international organizations. The Chinese ambassador added that the Chinese government will put forward three initiatives during the forum, namely, discussion, construction and utilization of the Belt Road, concluding by pointing out that about 100 countries and international organizations have joined the initiative of the Belt Road.
