Secretary General of Arab League (AL), Ahmed Aboul Gheit welcomed the return of the Kingdom of Morocco to the membership of the African Union (AU), based on the decision issued in this regard by the 28th AU Summit held in Addis Ababa, expressing his sincere congratulations to Morocco's King Mohammed VI and to the Government and people of Morocco for this important step. In a statement today, Abu Gheit expressed his confidence that Morocco's return to AU will be an important and positive addition to Union's action for a better future.
