The Arab League Council is scheduled to hold a foreign-minister level extraordinary meeting today to discuss the repercussions of U.S. president Donald Trump's recent recognition of Al-Quds as capital of Israel. Meanwhile, the Arab Peace Initiative Committee will also hold an extraordinary foreign-minister level meeting at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo today to consider the expected developments in the holy city of Al-Quds in view of Trump's decision recognizing it as capital of the occupying power. Saeed Abu-Ali, Assistant Secretary General of the AL for Palestine and occupied Arab Territories Sector, said the meeting of Arab foreign ministers and Arab peace initiative come in view of the Arab involvement in following up the developments after the U.S. administration announcement to recognize Al-Quds as capital of Israel and move its embassy to it from Tel Aviv.
