Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Al-Twaijri, called on the world's peace and justice-loving countries to recognize Al-Quds as the capital of the State of Palestine in response to US President Donald Trump's decision of recognizing Al-Quds as the capital of Israel. He said this decision is contrary to international law and relevant UN resolutions. "Al-Quds will remain a Palestinian Arab city embracing Islamic and Christian sanctities, with a clear history that cannot be falsified or distorted," the ISESCO Director General said in a statement issued by the organization at its headquarters in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco. Dr. Al-Twaijri stressed the need to stand with the Palestinian people to protect their inalienable historical and sovereign rights.
