The Saudi-Portuguese Joint Committee held in Lisbon today its fourth ministerial meeting. Saudi delegation was headed by Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi while the Portuguese side headed by Minister of National Defense Dr. Azeredo Lopes. In his speech during the meeting, Al-Qasabi affirmed the efforts of the governments of the two countries to enhance cooperation and exert more efforts and continuous follow-up to implement the recommendations of the Saudi-Portuguese Joint Committee. The Portuguese side expressed the hope of the Portuguese companies to identify the opportunities available in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the vision of the Kingdom 2030, especially in vital sectors such as technology, infrastructure, environment, renewable energy and tourism. The two sides stressed the importance of boosting trade and investment flows between the two countries. They also highlighted the importance of the reforms adopted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia according to the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the National Transition Program 2020.
