Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen has received the Russian delegation headed by the Special Representative of the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs for liaison with the Alliance of Civilizations Ambassador Konstantin Shuvalov. During the meeting, which took place here yesterday, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations of cooperation in a number of areas of common interest between OIC and Russia. The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation and coordination in various international forums. They exchanged views on developments in a number of regional and international issues, in addition to the situation in the Middle East and Africa, human rights issues and the situation of the Rohingya Muslims.
