Saudi Project for Utilization of Hajj Meat, being managed by Islamic Development Bank, continues the distribution of about 928,000 heads of sacrificial meat to beneficiaries in and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 46,638 heads of sacrificial meat have been distributed to beneficiaries of the poor of the Grand Holy Mosque in Makkah, while procedures for the shipment of 250,000 heads of frozen meat will be completed for distribution in 23 countries in Asia and Africa by Land, sea, and air and 400 charities in different parts of the Kingdom. On the other hand, the Egyptian port of Safaga received yesterday a shipment of sacrificial meat containing 30,000 frozen heads to be distributed to those in need in the Arab Republic of Egypt. The President of Islamic Development Bank Group, Chairman of the Committee of Utilization of Hajj Meat Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hamza Hajjar, has expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and the Government for their support for this project to provide sacrificial meat to poor and needy Muslims all over the world.
