Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper commented on the German Foreign Minister's statement, saying that the reaction of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the unprecedented statement released by German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel was strong as his statement was built on lack of understanding of what is happening on the ground. The newspaper added that the official source at the Foreign Ministry who referred to the Kingdom's recalling of its ambassador in Berlin for consultations put things on the right track by asserting that Gabriel's lies do not represent the position of the German government, the Kingdom's partner in the war against terrorism and extremism. Okaz newspaper commented on the Iranian arrogance, saying that Iran is the cause of ruin and chaos in the region, and the activities of Houthi group in Yemen, Hezbollah militia in Lebanon and other armed groups affiliated to Iran in Iraq and Syria have been implemented according to orders issued by the Iranian regime to spread its hegemony throughout the Arab region.
