Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al- Yaum and Okaz Newspapers said in their editorials today that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seen as the key sponsor calling for tolerance and protection of international peace along with rejecting of extremism and terrorism through the dialogue and mutual understating between different cultures around the world, citing the historic meeting between late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican on November 6, 2007 and the visit paid before by late Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz while he was Second Deputy Premier, in addition to the historic one recently paid by Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Ra'ie to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and his meetings with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and senior Saudi officials.
